WHAT: Summer Nature Outing #1: Fishing at Clear Creek Metro Park
WHEN: Wednesday, 6/5 — 10:00a - 1:00p
WHERE: 185 Clear Creek Rd, Rockbridge 43149
Note: This location is slightly south of the Lancaster area.
MEETING LOCATION: Parking Lot at Creekside Meadows Picnic Area (enter the park on Clear Creek Road)
WHERE WE'LL BE: We’ll be fishing at the access point #2 near the Creekside Meadows Picnic Area
BRING: Please bring fishing gear and bait, towels, sunscreen, bug/tick repellent, and a fishing license for anyone who will be fishing who is 16 years of age or older (note: adults may assist children who are younger than 16 years old without a license). Also, please wear fishing/weather appropriate clothing and shoes. Some families bring an extra change of clothes/towels/wipes (just in case things get extra muddy or wet — and they often do) to our Nature Outings! We also host guided nature journaling during our events — so, please bring whatever supplies your family would like to use for this time. Some draw or watercolor in dedicated notebooks, some take pictures, and some write and describe what they’ve discovered. You're also welcome to bring nature observation tools. And don't forget a packed lunch for your family and plenty of drinking water!
POLICY REMINDER: Families must stay together — parents are responsible for their own their children at all times. Thanks in advance for understanding.
RSVP: This is very important — please use the form below to RSVP for your family! We need to know exactly who is coming so we are sure to not leave anyone behind or spend time waiting for a family that isn't coming! The RSVP form will close at 8:00a on the morning of our event. If anything changes for your RSVP, please send a direct email to firstname.lastname@example.org — thanks!
