WHAT: Spring Nature Outing #3 — Three Creeks Metro Park
WHEN: Wednesday, 4/4 — 10:00a-1:00p
WHERE: 3860 Bixby Road, Groveport
MEETING LOCATION: Parking Lot between Turtle Pond and Natural Play Area
WEATHER: As of right now, the weather tomorrow is supposed to be overcast and windy with a slight chance of rain showers or wet snow. The temperature should be in the upper 30's to lower 40's.
BRING: observations supplies (field guides, nature journaling supplies, binoculars, magnifying glass, etc.), good clothes and boots for wet and chilly weather (maybe pack extra clothes in case of mud/dampness) and a packed lunch for your family. If the weather cooperates, we'll grab a picnic area and eat together. If we decide it's too wet/chilly, we'll try to meet up somewhere close for lunch!
DETAILS: There are two short loop trails to check out here — Evergreen Trail and Turtle Pond Trail (each a half mile). As fitting with the theme for the season, we're hoping to see some flowers blooming and hear some birds chirping (and maybe even catch a glimpse of some turtles as the trail is named after them) as we head off on our adventure!
POLICY REMINDER: Families must stay together — parents are responsible for their own their children at all times. Thanks in advance for understanding.
RSVP: This is very important! We need to know exactly who is coming so we are sure to not leave anyone behind or spend time waiting for a family that isn't coming! PLEASE send a quick email to firstname.lastname@example.org or respond to the Facebook event and let us know if your family is planning on coming!
