WHAT: Summer Field Trip #1 — International Mud Day at Highbanks
WHEN: Friday, 6/29 — 10:00a - 12:00p
WHERE: Highbanks Metro Park
MEETING LOCATION: Big Meadow Picnic Area
WEATHER: to be announced in the reminder email
BRING: Old clothes that can get extremely muddy! They will have a make-shift PVC shower, but it's not high powered and usually ends up quite muddy by the end. You may consider bringing a couple jugs of water to throw on your kids! Bring a change of clothes for when they are finished, but keep in mind that it may get dirty as well as it's hard to remove all the mud before the ride home. Grab towels, some trash bags to go over car seats and some to hold dirty clothes, paper towels, baby wipes, etc. Some may want to bring a packed lunch and stick around afterward, others may want to head directly home for the hose and a shower!
DETAILS: Get down and dirty as we make mud pies, dig for worms, and play in the giant mud pit! If you want to read through the history of this international celebration of all things muddy, click here! We'll try to grab a moment in the middle of it all for a Wild + Free picture!
POLICY REMINDER: Families must stay together — parents are responsible for their own their children at all times. Thanks in advance for understanding.
RSVP: This is very important! We need to know exactly who is coming for our attendance records! PLEASE send a quick email to firstname.lastname@example.org or respond to the Facebook event and let us know if your family is planning on coming!
